The Concept Design Process
01. Consultation + Collaboration
Every project kicks-off with a detailed consultation session. We use this time to delve deep into what your interior design ambitions are, learn more about your style, functionality considerations and to understand where you are right now with your project, and what support you need.
It’s common to not be sure about what your personal style is or what interior design services you may require. That’s OK! Through the consultation process with Ploom Interiors, we will work with you to make these discoveries.
04. Feedback and Revisions
This stage involves revisions to the preliminary design presentation based on feedback from the Client.
Afterwards we will be putting together your final design selections for the next stage.
02. Concept Development
This stage involves the development of initial ideas to address the Client’s brief and provide a basis for further design development. It involves the production of conceptual mood boards, the development of 2D floorplans and general joinery layouts.
05. Formal Documentation
A schedule will be provided to you with all fixtures, finishes and equipment, as well as other items relevant to your project, such as furniture pieces.
You will have the opportunity to see, touch and approve all finishes and samples during the process; afterall interior design is so much about how things look and feel.
03. Design Development
This stage involves developing the detailed concept design. This involves the production of 2D elevation drawings, 3D renderings of the selected spaces, and the sourcing of indicative products and materials. A preliminary design is presented to the Client
06. Project Handover
Depending on if you have elected Ploom Interiors to coordinate trades and or project styling afterwards, we will formally handover any relevenat information in relation to your finishes and plans.
we will also detail the timeframe for changes and ongoing support, as we know things change in the time from design to completion.
